WALFA is committed to hosting at least two events each and every year, notionally in spring and autumn. These events are designed to bring the most relevant and timely information, research, extension and support to the WA lot feeding community, through the most qualified and experienced presenters.

This is a two-day tour to showcase some of WA’s finest agribusiness facilities. Delegates will travel by bus and visit a container port, a brewery, a compost facility and an abattoir in the Perth area. Enjoy the opportunity to network with peers over dinner at The Vines Resort.

THURSDAY, 22 FEBRUARY:
10:30am – Bus to depart The Vines Resort
11:45am – Lunch at The Leftbank in Fremantle
1:00pm – Have you ever wondered how so many containers are managed at the port? All your questions will be answered when we tour the Container Port at Fremantle.
3:00pm – Check out how your favourite beer is made at Limestone Coast Brewing in Malaga, finishing with a cheeky sample or two.
6:00 – Bus to return to The Vines Resort
7:00pm – Dinner @ The Vines Resort.
FRIDAY, 23 FEBRUARY:
8am – Bus to depart The Vines Resort
9:00am – Nearly all agribusinesses produce waste, so what is the best way to manage it? Find out how Purearth produce gold star compost on this tour of their Woottating facility.
11-12pm – Lunch (TBC)
12:30pm – Craig Mostyn are one of WA’s largest and most diverse agribusiness companies. We will tour their Linley Valley Pork abattoir in Wundowie and hear from CEO Wayne Crofts.
3:30pm – Bus to return to The Vines Resort
