WALFA represents the voice of lot feeders throughout Western Australia and is continually working towards a more viable, profitable and sustainable future for the lot feeding industry.
WALFA’s mission is to be “A professional and inclusive industry body that provides relevant information and leadership to empower and promote continual improvement of the WA cattle lot feeding industry.”
The WA Lot Feeders Association (WALFA) is one of the longest serving industry associations in the agricultural sector of WA. For decades, WALFA has been promoting the excellence of the WA cattle feedlot industry and improving the knowledge and skills of the people within it.
WALFA membership represents approximately 75% of feedlot operators in WA (in terms of number of cattle on feed), as well as having a number of associate members.
The membership base of WALFA is highly diverse, ranging from grain-fed producers, grass-fed producers, backgrounders, nutritionists, animal health providers, animal feed providers, machinery dealers, vets, livestock agents, meat processors, and more.
Members are widely dispersed across WA, from north of Geraldton to Albany, Bunbury to Esperance and into the eastern wheatbelt.
